Why this exists

One big public voice.

People are tired of broken promises, distant decisions, and public money they cannot follow. Our Turn is built around proof instead.

The problem

Promises are easy to make—and hard to trace.

Too many promises made to regular communities never arrive. City budgets are public but hard to read and harder to influence — Our Turn's ledger is built to be readable by anyone, and the spending is voted on, not just published. We're not here to be angry about it. We're here to build the alternative.

The answer

Openness lets you verify.

Every dollar that moves is recorded in a public ledger, down to the last cent — so anyone can check the math. Voters control the community goal fund — the founder cannot override how it's spent. The operations fund is just as open: every dollar is receipted in the ledger, the people vote on what it pays for, and leftover surplus flows automatically into the Legacy Fund — the founder cannot override it.

How the money works

$25 a month, split in the open.

The plan — Community Builders would pay $25/month:

$20

Your town's goal fund

Goes to the community's voted goal — no person ever gets the money, it pays for the build. One goal at a time, funded in 30-day rounds: if it still needs funding, the town votes to keep going or move on. Every target has its upkeep and maintenance reserve baked in from the start.

$5

The team & operations

Keeps the website running, pays the people doing the real-world execution, and grows the platform. The people vote on what it pays for — the founder cannot override it — leftover surplus flows automatically into the Legacy Fund, and every dollar is receipted in the open ledger like everything else.

Voting, submitting ideas, and participating are free. Memberships are not live yet — payments stay disabled until legal review is complete. The $20/$5 figures are the planned split of each $25 membership — payment processing fees come out first, and the exact numbers are still being worked out.

What participation could build

Run the community math.

This is a projection, not a live balance — a what-if, not a promise. It uses the planned split: $20 to the goal fund, $5 to the team — payment processing fees come out first, so real payouts land below these numbers.

Goal fund / month$2,000,000
Team / month$500,000
Goal fund / year$24,000,000

Not live — payments disabled until legal review.

The mission — in the founder’s own words
“our mission is to use the youth's voice to better our community through proposed ideas and solutions that are filtered and voted on through the community not one politician's promises we create together we take action together”
